Diarrhea is a digestive disorder that is the cause of morbidity and death experienced by many toddlers. This study aims to analyze the risk factors for diarrhea in toddlers living around the Ogan Ilir River. This research is an analytical observational study with a cross-sectional design. This research was conducted in Muara Baru Village, Pemulutan District, with a sample size of 58 toddlers taken randomly. Data was collected using a questionnaire and analyzed univariablely and bivarialely with the chi-square test. The research results showed that the majority of toddlers who experienced diarrhea were less than 3 years old and were female; the mother was more than 33 years old; they had low education; and they had poor hygiene behavior. The incidence of diarrhea in toddlers is related to clean water facilities (pv = 0.039, OR = 1.771) and latrines that do not meet health requirements (pv = 0.041, OR = 2.732). Basic sanitation conditions are a risk factor causing diarrhea in toddlers, so efforts need to be made to increase public awareness to carry out water treatment and provide latrines that meet the requirements.
