Studying the presence of aedes aegypti mosquito larvae is essential for controlling mosquito populations. The purpose of this study is to identify the presence and breeding grounds of mosquitoes in the Bandung City area. This study used a cross-sectional research design. The population in this study is the home of the entire bandung community. The technique used was a simple random with a total sample of 449 houses. Data collection is carried out by making observations. The test used is a chi-square test with a significance level of 5%. Most of the larvae were not found in containers (73.1%), containers were found outside the building (59.7%), container colors were found to be light (61.7%), container materials found to be kramik and plastic (54.1%), and the condition of containers had no lid (55.5%). Variables related to the presence of mosquito larvae are the type of container (p=0.000 and POR=2.5), the location of the container (p=0.001 and POR=2.1), and the color of the container (p=0.004 and POR=1.8). While the material of the container and the condition of the container lid are not relatedThe characteristics of containers that are significantly related to the presence of mosquito larvae are the type of container, the location of the container, and the color of the container. It is recommended to the community to prefer lighter-colored water reservoirs, pay more attention to containers located in the house.
