Analysis of Pulmonary Tuberculosis Risk Factors in UPTD Lubuk Batang Community Health Center, Ogan Komering Ulu in 2024

Pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) is a contagious disease and is still a public health problem in Indonesia, including in the UPTD Puskesmas Lubuk Batang District of Ogan Komering Ulu Province of South Sumatra. The study aims to analyze the risk factors of pulmonary tuberculosis in the area of work of UPTD Puskesmas Lubuk Batang District of Ogan Komering Ulu in 2024. This research is a quantitative study with a control case design. The total sample in this study is 38 cases and 38 controls (comparison 1:1). The data was collected through interviews using questionnaires, and observations of the respondent's home and analyzed univariately, bivariately with the chi-square test, mutivariably with double logistical regression. The dependent variable in this study is Pulmonary Tuberculosis, while the independent variables in this penetration are gender, employment, body mass index, history of smoking, diabetes mellitus history, HIV history, contact history with pulmonary tuberculosis sufferers, ventilation and hunian density. The results of statistical tests using the chi square test obtained risk factors associated with the occurrence of pulmonary tuberculosis are the body mass index (p value = 0,001), the history of contact with the lung tubercle sufferers (p value = 0,005), the density of the humans (p value = 0.008) and ventilation (p value = 0,004). Conclusion: The risk factors affecting pulmonary tuberculosis in the UPTD Puskesmas Lubuk Batang District of Ogan Komering Ulu Year 2024 are the body mass index, history of contact with the patient with lung tuberkulosis, density of humans and ventilation.
